This is Part Two of The Gift, an award-winning epic story reaching across both sides of the Taiwan Strait and three generations of a Taiwanese Family. For decades, former soldier Jiahe has been trying to locate the man who helped him escape the war in China and retreat to safety in Taiwan. As his mind and body continue to weaken due to old age, he fears the loss of hope. He is further troubled by his estranged granddaughter, until the appearance of a young man who not only fulfils his last wishes but also brings a closure to years of emotional conflict between the old man and the teenager. Don't forget to check out Part One of The Gift, a tender and thought-provoking story that depicts "sympathy" as a key to the continuation of love and life.
