In this book, The Gift of Reaching Out, Yankele thinks back to the time he did not give his seat to an older man on the bus. With his mom's guidance, he is determined to find this person, to apologize for being inconsiderate. The rest of the story is quite surprising. (Read the prequel "A Seat on the Bus" also by Aviva Hermelin) for story of what happened to Yankele on the bus.)
The Jewish Values Series presents stories featuring children as they learn the appropriate response to new or difficult situations, based on Jewish values, middot.
Whether you read these stories aloud or your child is already a reader, these stories will create an ideal atmosphere to introduce themes and concepts for their personal growth and development.
Other sections are also included in the book: 1-A glossary of unfamiliar words; 2-Think and Discuss Questions; 3-Ten Jewish Values (Which ones are familiar to you?)
