From the Author
Where is fancy bred, in the heart or in the head? Those who have undergone a ghost experience are convinced of it's reality. In this book I have collected accounts of genuine hauntings across Nottinghamshire over the last 200 years. For the Nottinghamshire people who've seen ghosts the experience was real. What will you make of their eye-witness accounts that appear in this book? Why not visit some of the haunted houses, pubs, forests and ruins and decide for yourself? Over 60 places, towns and villages are featured. I've also attempted to deal with the Nottingahmshire rich mythology, Robin Hood included. This takes the reader into the dark, green realms of Sherwood forest itself. Further afield at Laxton, beware Nottinghamshire's own hound of the Baskervilles- the fearful Boggan. Wherever possible I have used first hand accounts.
