Step Into the Haunted History of Key West with Ghosts of Key West—A Chilling Collection of the Island’s Most Notorious Spirits
Ghosts of Key West brings the island’s haunted past to life with thirteen incredible stories of the southernmost ghosts. From Victorian-era spirits returning to claim what is rightfully theirs to the infamous haunted dolls that continue to chill their visitors, this book beautifully captures the eerie and mysterious essence of Florida’s second-oldest city.
In these pages, you’ll encounter the ghosts of cigar makers, pirates, wreckers, and voodoo practitioners, each with their own story to tell. As their ghostly journeys continue through time, yours is just about to begin.
Whether you’re a paranormal enthusiast or simply curious about the island’s haunted history, Ghosts of Key West offers a glimpse into the spirits that still roam the streets and buildings of this storied island.
Key Highlights:
About the Author: David L. Sloan, the founder of Key West’s original ghost tour, is the leading authority on the island’s hauntings. Sloan’s extensive research and passion for the paranormal have made him one of the most respected figures in the field of ghost tourism.
He has spent over 25 years uncovering the haunted secrets of Key West, making groundbreaking discoveries about notorious figures like Robert the Doll, Count von Cosel, and the grave at Captain Tony’s Saloon.
Sloan is the author of multiple books on the paranormal and has appeared on programs alongside Robert the Doll, Jack Osbourne, and William Shatner, solidifying his status as a key figure in the world of hauntings. Sloan’s work continues to inspire ghost tours across the United States, and he owns Ghost Key West (.com), a tour company that offers unique haunted experiences on the island.
Ghosts of Key West was Sloan's first book. Published in 1996, it captures Key West's ghost stories as they were being told by locals, native Conchs, and long-time residents at that time.
