A book unlike any other ghost book -- These are not the typical orb or streak-type ghosts that ghost hunters often get, but full formed, vaporous apparitions. The large color photos are evocative and draw you in as if you are actually standing there and seeing what the photographer saw and felt. The question asked of photographer Rebecca Benjamin is: Are the photographs real? The answer? Yes! In many cultures, spirits of the dead return to visit. They return when the "veil," or separation between life and death and past and present, is at its thinnest. This is the time that Rebecca has taken most of her photographs over the past fifteen years. Ghost stories accompany each cemetery visited. A personal travel guide and pictorial review of haunted cemeteries, including those in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Canada.
