Paperback. There is no pain like losing a child. That is something Blaze knows all too well. It explains why instead of celebrating the first birthday, she's sitting in a cemetery with balloons holding her grief when she wants nothing more than to be holding her son.She should share her grief with her husband, Dominic. But that's hard to do when deep down, she can't help but think he had something to do with their son's death in the first place. The only comfort she can find is in a ghost buried near her sweet boy.The more Blaze and Dominic's marriage dissolves, the harder her gut tells her something isn't right. One trip to a pawn shop with a piece of jewelry he gave her and her entire life as she knew it unravels. Dominic is anything but what he seems, and those gifts aren't gifts at all. They're trophies.Lucas has to crossover. That doesn't stop him from watching over Blaze and guarding her against a monster she doesn't know is right on her doorstep. But when her husband comes for her life, Lucas won't even let the supernatural veil separating them stop him from making sure Blaze remains unharmed. And acts of love like that certainly have the power to defy even fate.
