Mike Brodie leads an erratic life. A professional saxophonist/voice-over specialist, Mike often has to explain away the fact that she isn?t actually a man, as so many tend to assume given her name and business. Paul, Mike's irritatingly pushy manager, ensures that her calendar is always full to the seams with bookings, so she spends her time rushing between various gigs and voiceover jobs, while simultaneously looking out for her now grown-up goddaughter, Raffi. When Mike at last decides it's time for a well-earned break, she heads for Bewick Grange in Ruttersford, a stately home maintained by her friend, Maggie. As she approaches the house down a heavily wooded road, her car is attacked by a group of men, causing her to swerve and crash. Despite appearances, however, this turns out to be a mere case of mistaken identity, but it is not the last of the strange happenings that begin to plague the small village of Ruttersford. When Mike discovers a body floating in an ornamental pool, she quickly finds herself swept up in a tale of murder, mystery and intrigue.…

Inside an enchanted castle, there's a closet--a closet with one hundred magical dresses that only Darling Dimple can wear. Each one disguises her as somebody else.
It turns out that Darling needs disguises. A thief is on the loose! Someone is causing an uproar among the servants--moving things around, stealing clothes from the laundry, and even pocketing Princess Mariposa's jewels. Then Darling and her friend Roger think they spot a ghost roaming the halls. Could the culprit be a spirit? Can Darling and Roger get to the bottom of it all? With the help of the one hundred dresses, there just might be a ghost of a chance.
