'From the Preface
Day trading stocks is, by its nature, designed to limit catastrophic losses while maximizing profits. The leverage of futures, options, and indices also makes for fast profits from small moves. Major losses occur only when traders get ahead of themselves, fail to admit trading errors, and hold losing positions until they become unmanageable. Opportunities for fast-turnaround, double-digit profits are lost when traders take needless risks, use inappropriate trading orders, and fail to let profits run.
How to Start Day Trading Futures, Options, and Indices explains everything you need to know to maximize profits and minimize the risks in this challenging, potentially lucrative field. After covering the basics traders need to know'from establishing an account to placing your first trade'this comprehensive, no-nonsense guide provides detailed examples of the techniques and strategies needed to limit risk while locking in consistent, substantial trading profits.
Traders of all experience levels will get tips and guidelines for dramatically improving their trading results with:
- Techniques for trading profitably on news stories and setups
- Ways to read'and profit from'price behavior differences between old and new economy stocks
- Specific stocks and options'plus optimal entry and exit points'for reliable and profitable momentum trading
- Innovative techniques of sector analysis and proxy trading
The keys to success in electronic day trading are as proven as they are profitable'and experienced traders are beginning to awaken to the high profit, low risk game of combining the techniques of electronic day trading with the leverage of futures, options, and indices. Let How to Start Day Trading Futures, Options, and Indices show you how to equip yourself with the hardware and software you need, develop the mindset of a successful day trader, and start today to apply advanced, profitable day trading strategies and techniques to the no-limits battlefield of futures, options, and indices.
