This revised edition of the highly successful exam practice guide for MRCP Part 1 has been completely updated to reflect the new exam regulations, which now place emphasis on best-of-five questions, rather than traditional MCQs.
The MRCP exams of the UK Colleges of Physicians are a pre-requisite qualification for medical practitioners training to become specialist registrars and consultants. The "Get through ...... series has been designed and written under the guidance of Dr Eric Beck, past Chairman of the MRCP Part 2 examining board. This new series is an essential revision tool for all MRCP candidates studying for the new syllabus exams.
Get through MRCP - Part 1, 2nd edition aims to test the widest breadth of the candidate's knowledge with 1000 questions and explanatory answers in preparation for the MRCP Part 1 examination papers one and two. New material includes more emphasis on current management guidelines for chronic illnesses. Advice is given to candidates covering question comprehension, answer strategies and avoiding common pitfalls, such as the merits of guessing an answer. And an additional section explains the structure of the Part 1 and Part 2 examinations and papers.
The author, Una Coales MD FRCSEd, trained in medicine in the USA and moved to the UK to practise. She has written several popular exam texts including PLAB and DRCOG having passed each exam herself.

Review
European Academy of Anaesthesiology Newsletter, review of the first edition:
"a comprehensive range of both theoretical and practical questions... good in the early days of revision when confidence building is essential. It is the first book we have seen to address questions on ethics."
Postgraduate Medical Journal, review of the first edition:
Coales has put together a valuable resource for candidates revising for the new MRCP Part 1.

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
