Book One of the Get Back City Series
In a city carved by corruption and lit by neon wounds, the forgotten are beginning to rise. Let the Broken Name Their Gods launches the mythic‑urban thriller saga Get Back City, where power is a living thing, memory is a weapon, and the people the system tried to discard are the ones destined to reshape its future.
Get Back City is a place where the powerful rewrite history, where the streets swallow the truth, and where the Keepers of the Cycle—an ancient, hidden order—pull the strings behind every political decision, every redevelopment plan, every disappearance. For decades, the city has obeyed them. For decades, the Cycle has held. But the cracks are spreading.
Marcus Bellweather never asked to be a symbol. A former infiltrator with too many scars and too few answers, he’s spent years trying to outrun the ghosts of the Tower—the living, breathing structure that houses the city’s most dangerous secrets. But when a dying informant whispers a name the Cycle tried to erase, Marcus is pulled back into a conspiracy that spans the city’s underbelly, its elite, and the shadows in between.
As Marcus digs deeper, he crosses paths with the people the city forgot: Mama Sol, the matriarch of Sector 7, who protects the displaced with a ferocity the Cycle can’t quantify. Sister Agnes, the iron-willed guardian of St. Jude’s Shelter, whose quiet persistence has outlasted every attempt to silence her. The Architects of Tomorrow, a clandestine network of thinkers, organizers, and disillusioned tech workers determined to rebuild the city from the ground up. And the Shadow Collective, a decentralized resistance that preserves the memories the Cycle wants erased.
Each faction has its own truth. Its own wounds. Its own gods.
But when a series of violent ruptures shakes the city—vanished citizens, corrupted data streams, unexplained power outages, and a chilling resurgence of Thorne’s digital ghost—Marcus realizes the Cycle isn’t just cracking. It’s mutating. And the city itself seems to be choosing sides.
As the streets begin to whisper, as old myths resurface in new forms, and as the broken start to reclaim their names, Marcus is forced to confront a terrifying possibility: the city is alive… and it remembers everything.
Let the Broken Name Their Gods is a gritty, atmospheric blend of noir tension, mythic symbolism, and psychological intrigue. It explores what happens when the powerless refuse to stay silent, when the forgotten reclaim their stories, and when a city built on lies begins to tell the truth.
