Print on Demand. This book analyzes the evolution of norms in tragic dramatization. The author explores how these norms have been established and changed over time, examining the complex interplay between artistic expression and societal values. The book traces the development of tragic theory from the ancient Greeks to the 18th century, providing a comprehensive overview of the major figures and ideas that have shaped the genre. The author argues that norms in tragedy are not static but rather reflect the evolving cultural and intellectual landscape, and that understanding their historical context is crucial for appreciating the full scope and significance of tragic drama. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.

Rudolf Eucken, Die Lebensanschauung der grossen Denker. 2. Aufl. Leipzig 1897.
