Western Frontiersmen Series XI, with an introduction to the second printing by Robert C. Carriker of Gonzaga University. One of only 500 copies printed. 356 pp. Lewis & Clark scholar Ernest Osgood, after reading this work, commented that Skarsten had combed the pages of various journals and given the reader a fair and judicious account of the important role this man played, even though he left historians only a slight factual record. Book is now housed in an archival quality cover. A very nice copy.
