The definitive critical study of Bingham (1811-1879), the Missouri artist. Two volumes. The first volume (The Evolution of an Artist) evaluates the artistic accomplishment of the painter. The second volume is the definitive record of Bingham's work, includes entries of 494 paintings, 126 drawings, and 15 prints. Only fault: endpapers slightly yellowed and foxing on edges. Otherwise clean and tight. No markings. The djs have very minor shelfwear, edgewear, a few closed tears. Volume 1 has some light spotting on spine. Price intact. In protective mylar jackets. A very nice set. Small 4to - over 9¾" - 12" Tall. Bookseller Inventory # 4075
