Meriton was a legal writer who became fascinated with the discoveries around the world. In this edition, he notes much new about Florida, Virginia, Maryland, and New York. These descriptions of crops, minerals, and peoples are brief but informative. Index at front of book lists all the places that are noted in this edition. America p. 249-265, Boiund in a modern 3/4 black polished leather over marbled paper covered boards, raised bands and lettering gilt, A1-A5 have small repairs to corners, some dampstaining from page 5 to about p.109 but not too distracting, title page darkened.
