The people's praise for Raldus and his deeds is all that he once wished, and more than he dared imagine, but the harsh realities of violence have taught him the dangers of ego. The path of honor is not blazed through strength of battle. It lies in the creation and protection of peace and harmony. Such a life is often denied to the heroes who realize it for others. When a terrible doom descends upon the land, Raldus once again takes up his sword to defend all that is good in his world. Now he understands that the wise warrior understands restraint and ferocity in equal measure. In a genre filled with chosen ones and destined heroes, Gentle Fury tells a different story: the journey of someone who found peace and had to give it up, not for glory, but for something far more valuable. Something pure. Something enduring. This character-driven epic fantasy explores the weight of consequences, the cost of redemption, and the difference between the hero the world needs and the person you choose to become. It asks uncomfortable questions about honor, about sacrifice, and about living one's purpose. For readers who love morally complex protagonists, philosophical depth, and fantasy that asks hard questions about honor, sacrifice, and what it truly means to be heroic.
