About the Author: Miriam Chickering is a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College. She loves teaching nursing students as a clinical instructor and young families as a nurse educator. Her specialty area is obstetrics. Miriam is a pastor’s wife and the mother of five children. Ronda Yoder is a doctorally-prepared Nurse Practitioner with nursing degrees from Pensacola Christian College, Indiana University, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She has taught nursing for over 20 years, worked as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, and volunteered with new mothers to facilitate breastfeeding. Ronda was instrumental in starting the Emerald Coast Alliance for Breastfeeding Support, a breastfeeding alliance of healthcare providers, community supporters, and moms in the Panhandle of Florida. Ronda and her husband Bob have four children: Rob, Sarah, Jenny, and Kathy.
