About the Author: George J. Andreopoulos is Professor of Political Science at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York, where he directs the Center for International Human Rights. He is the coeditor, with Richard Pierre Claude, of Human Rights Education for the Twenty-First Century, also available from the University of Pennsylvania Press.
