Paperback. RJ Davis, a thirty-something Houston criminal defense attorney, practices law with a passion. His passion was acquired through the experience of being wrongly convicted of a crime and exonerated only after spending five years in a Texas maximum security prison. Now a successful lawyer, he has built a reputation of fighting for his clients to insure that no other innocent is swept up in a rush to judgment, as he was. Yet, this moral compass is tested when he is retained to defend the accused murderess, Scarlett Dixon. Scarlet is a teenager who is shy and introverted. His is also a renowned art prodigy living in Houston. Her identical twin sister, Starlett, is a precocious sexual seductress, who uses the allure of her long blond hair, emerald green eyes and curvaceous body to command men to doing her will. The death of Starlett, at Scarlett's hand, opens a world of deceit, deception and betrayal. Murder mixes with intrigue as RJ and his team, risk their lives to detangle the web of lies and secrets which surround Scarlett. This is a case illustrating the many latent quirks of the Texas insanity defense. This item is printed on demand.
