Step into the verdant world of Costa Rica with Gaspar, a curious young Portuguese explorer whose thirst for discovery leads him on a magnificent journey through one of Earth's most biodiverse paradises. As Gaspar and his companions navigate through misty rainforests, winding rivers, and golden coastlines, they encounter a spectacular cast of creatures that call this Central American jewel home.
From the slow-motion grace of three-toed sloths to the vibrant flash of scarlet macaws, each animal encounter becomes both a moment of wonder and a gentle lesson in natural history. The authors, Pedro Seabra and Angela Chan, cleverly weave educational elements into this captivating narrative, creating a reading experience that delights while it teaches.
Gaspar Descobre os Animais da Costa Rica embodies the essence of "Pura Vida"—Costa Rica's celebrated philosophy of appreciating life's simple pleasures and natural wonders. As young readers follow Gaspar deeper into ancient ecosystems, they'll develop not only an understanding of diverse wildlife but also an appreciation for conservation and environmental stewardship.
Perfect for budding naturalists, adventure-seekers, and classroom explorations, this vividly illustrated journey will transport readers of all ages to a world where nature's treasures await around every corner. Join Gaspar as he discovers that the greatest adventures often lead to the most important lessons—and that the magic of Costa Rica's wilderness can inspire a lifetime of curiosity and respect for our natural world.
