Item description from seller

Pale brown paper covers with title in black on front cover and spine. Condition: Fair, covers are generally shelfworn with some light soiling.There is a small booksellers label to the centre of the lower part of the front cover. The very lower outer corner of the front and rear covers are missing (see images). The paper covering the spine has creasing and worn with some slight loss to the paper covering at the top and bottom of the spine. Binding sound, no inscriptions. 136 plates, 8 in colour, the remainder in b/w. Several period advertisements to front of book. Images of many beautiful gardens are included, such as Rydal Hall, Thornton Manor, Underley Hall, Windlestone Hall and Wykeham Abbey.
