Soft Cover. Star Press 1963 - 1965. This is the complete collection of Gamma magazines, the US Digest-size magazine. Book condition: VF - Very Fine. FIVE issues 1963-1965, published by Star Press, North Hollywood; edited by William F Nolan for three issues, then by Jack Matcha and Charles E Fritch. The fiction in this magazine a blend of sci-fi and fantasy was of good quality, many stories being by Californian writers with film connections, like Charles Beaumont and Richard Matheson, and there were some fine covers by Morris Scott Dollens and John Healey. The fourth number was labelled a special "Outer Space" issue. The last two issues, without the monitoring hand of Nolan, drifted into Pulp adventure territory, fun but nothing special. A lack of finance and direction led to a gradual but long drawn out demise. A sixth issue was rumoured for months, but it never appeared. Each magazine 130pp in Very Fine condition. 130 pages. Size: 5" x 8" (130mm x 195mm). (0.5).

Shipping terms
Fast Insured Shipping (first book): UK £7.99
ALL DESTINATIONS: £1.00 for each additional book (additional books delivered free in UK).
All our books are carefully packed. Because most of our books are higher value and tend to be heavier (especially when packed) we usually use Priority international shipping by air courier which is insured at our risk; Standard shipping (where offered) is not insured and is sent at your risk!
Our UK rates include all shipping up to 20kg so shipping on additional books is usually free in the UK mainland. ABE shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. We offer a fair degree of leeway but many of our books are substantially larger and heavier than the norm. If your book order is significantly heavier or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required.
