Add to basket1902 The Game of Ombre. Printed for private circulation by the Chiswick Press. 1902, 133 pp, 10.75 x 9 , original boards with leather spine. In good condition, with rubbing and wear to boards. Slight loss to head and heel of spine. Hinges are in good condition with minor wear and text block remains bound well. Includes occasional color illustrations throughout. Occasional marginalia. Hilles bookplae on front pastedown. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. A scarce English manual on how to understand and play Ombre, a Spanish trick-taking card game that became relatively popular in the 18th and 19th Centuries, despite its difficult rules. Includes a separate packet on the rules and a small note from Charles Whittingham & Co. at the Chiswick Press.
