This is the 1978 reprint of "Ojos de Perro Azul" ("Eyes of the Blue Dog") a collection of early short stories by Gabriel Garcia Márquez, the great Colombian author who received the Nobel Prize in 1982. Considered by many to be one of the most influential authors of the 20th Century, his most famous work is "100 Years of Solitude"; that novel is generally considered to have been the genesis of 'Magical Realism'. The stories in "Ojos de Perro Azul" date from 1947 to 1955. The collection was first published in 1974. this is the Fifth Edition, so stated in the book, issued in 1978. **************************************** This book was published in Barcelona, Spain, from where it made its way to Antigua, Guatemala, where it was purchased and carried back to Clinton NY, thence to here and finally to whomever purchases it. A nice bit of world traveling.
