Orange boards with gilt lettering on spine. Board edges are very lightly thumbed and rubbed. Head and tail of spine lightly bumped. Page edges are a little discoloured, moreso at head edge. Some signs of use on front free endpaper. Otherwise this book is in good condition. Dust wrapper is thumbed at the edges. Spine lightly sunned, else in good condition. *We always describe the faults of our books meticulously but they usually present better than they sound. Architecture of the past in India attempts to create an experience with a sense of longing-something to fill the void within. The masters of design in an earlier era were concerned with the balance of a building and how it could please the eye. Glimpses of Architecture in Kerala is a beginning in trying to examine these intentions

About the Author:

Ramu Katakam studied architecture at Cambridge, and has been a practicing architect for the past thirty years. He gave up practice some time ago to do research on traditional Indian architecture and has been travelling in Kerala for the past three years
