Minor shelfwear to wraps. Faint crease through upper corners.; Catalogue of the exhibition at Corning Museum, British Museum and Romisch-Germanisches Museum. 161 items illustrated in 199 color plates. This exhibition of Roman glass draws on the collections of The Corning Museum of Glass, which has the largest collection of glass of all periods, the British Museum, which has the largest archaeological collection, and the Romisch-Germanisches Museum of Cologne, which has the largest collection of Roman glass. The exhibition, enriched with pieces from major Italian museums, shows more comprehensively than ever before, the story of Roman glass in the fmperial Age (100 BC to AD 500). These collections between them provide examples of every major development in glass-making techniques and decoration during that period. The exhibition is not only attractive; it also allows a unique presentation of problems and ideas. Only here, for example, will it be possible to see so large a collection of Roman cameo glasses, or to compare the Lycurgus Cup with the best multi-coloured open-work cups from Milan and Cologne.; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 313 pages; Oversized item. Additional shipping charges may apply.…
