A Good, three quarter red leather binding and marbled boards with gilt lettering and gilt ornate design on spines, binding intact but a bit shaky, cracked hinges, TEG with some blemishes, deckle fore-edge and bottom text block edge, some age toning to pages, some discoloration to read leather, frayed top and bottom spine edges with some loss, rubbing to board edges and small abrasions to board corners, previous owner bookplate affirmed to front pastedown, some handling/scuffing to boards, sunned pastedown and endpaper margins, Volume 1 a bit cocked, few small abrasions and scratch mark to leather on rear board Volume 2.
