QUINTA PARTE TOMO I.- Siguiendo con la teoría agustiniana de las ?Seis edades del mundo?, en esta Quinta Parte sus relatos quedan plenamente inmersos en los acontecimientos de la quinta Edad, en concreto, los que suceden desde el reinado en Egipto de Tolomeo Filopátor hasta el nacimiento de Cristo. Los alfonsíes dedican este primer volumen a la materia bíblica, que recoge los hechos descritos en los dos primeros libros de los Macabeos y es completada con un fragmento de las Antigüedades judías del historiador Flavio Josefo, en el que se relata la historia judía correspondiente al final de esta quinta Edad del mundo. Para entender el origen la rebelión macabea, la Estoria se remonta a la muerte de Alejandro (323 a.c.) y la división de su inmenso imperio entre sus generales. Los tolemaicos y seleúcidas combaten en Palestina y Antíoco IV (de la disnastía seleúcida) intenta helenizar al pueblo hebreo sin respetar sus tradiciones religiosas. Por ello, Matatías y sus hijos iniciarán la rebelión contra Antíoco: Judas Macabeo consigue apoderarse de Jerusalén y con Simón, dueño del poder político y religioso, se consolida la dinastía judía de los Asmoneos. Esta dinastía se mantiene hasta el 37 a.C., cuando Herodes el Grande llega al poder y se convierte en rey de Jerusalén. Esta quinta Parte termina de forma abrupta con la muerte de Herodes, por lo que se supone que la sección bíblica, si bien fue completada, se perdió posteriormente. TOMO II.- La historia gentil ocupa la segunda sección de la Quinta Parte. En ella se aprecian dos segmentos claramente diferenciados: un primero se dedica a la traducción de la Farsalia: poema épico de Lucano que relata la guerra civil que mantuvieron durante años Julio César y Pompeyo tras la ruptura del primer triunvirato (formado por Julio César, Craso y Pompeyo) y una serie de capítulos en los que se narran los años de mandato de Julio César (desde su victoria en la batalla de Farsalia en el 51 a.c.) y los de Octavio Augusto, con los sucesos acaecidos durante los 42 primeros años de su reinado. En esta Parte se recogen pasajes tan conocidos como el paso del Rubicón por parte de César para conquistar Roma; los presagios de la maga Ericto sobre la derrota de Pompeyo y la muerte del mismo por orden del rey egipcio Tolomeo; la llegada de César a Egipto y el inicio de su relación con Cleopatra; el acceso al poder del segundo triunvirato a la muerte de Julio César, la victoria definitiva de Octavio y la muerte de Marco Antonio y su amante Cleopatra. SEXTA PARTE El único testimonio que nos ha llegado de esta última parte de la General Estoria es un pequeño fragmento de unos 20 folios que termina de manera abrupta. Pretende abarcar la última Edad del mundo en la que se narraría el nacimiento de Cristo, y como ya viene siendo habitual en la Estoria, también los hechos de los gentiles que sucedieron durante este tiempo: en concreto la historia de Roma y de Judea. Se remonta a la vida de los padres de la Virgen María y de San Juan Bautista cuando Octavio César inicia su imperio en Roma y Herodes reina en Asiria. Cuenta cómo Judea entra en la órbita de Roma al imponerse Octavio y Lucio Antonio (Marco Antonio) sobre el rebelde Casio; cómo Marco Antonio conoce a Cleopatra y tras conquistar Asiria vuelve a Roma. Enlaza de nuevo con la vida de los padres de la Virgen y el relato se interrumpe en el momento en que la madre, Ana, queda encinta.…

Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Vuestros Libros, Oviedo, Asturias, Spain, +34 984207442, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
