Wessels richt haar camera vervolgens naar buiten, naar de rechtstreekse omgeving van de oude garages. Daar wordt ze getroffen door de natuur die ze terugvindt in de ruwe, industri le landschappen aan de rand van de steden. In sommige gevallen neemt de woekerende natuur het over van de industrie, en overgroeit ze de garages die er stand proberen houden. Het fotografisch resultaat zijn schilderachtige beelden met een verrassend kleurenpalet.
