Most businesses don't fail on the idea. They fail on access to capital.
The opportunity was there — the inventory, the hire, the bigger contract. The money wasn't. And behind that wall sits a problem almost nobody explains to new owners: your business has its own credit identity, built on its EIN, entirely separate from yours. Until you deliberately build it, lenders look you up, find nothing, fall back on your personal credit, and ask you to put your home and savings on the line.
Funded is the complete, step-by-step playbook for building that profile — and turning it into real borrowing power.
Inside you'll learn how to:
- Structure your business so it can be funded — entity, EIN, business banking, and how to protect the corporate veil that keeps your personal assets safe.
- Pass the fundability check — the address, phone, web, and listing details that cause silent automatic denials most owners never diagnose.
- Get listed with the business bureaus — your D-U-N-S Number, Experian Business, and Equifax Business.
- Open your first reporting tradelines in 30 days — how to pick net-30 vendors that actually report, with a week-by-week sequence. Some starter vendors approve new businesses in a day or two.
- Climb the tradeline ladder — starter vendors to store and fleet accounts to real cash credit, in the order that gets approvals instead of denials.
- Master PAYDEX — including why "on time" caps your score and early payment is the whole edge.
- Get corporate cards with no personal guarantee — which providers actually offer them, and exactly what they require instead.
- Qualify for higher limits — the levers underwriters really respond to, and how to ask.
- Work the soft-pull plays — use pre-approval tools so you never apply cold, add warehouse store cards like Sam's Club, and request credit line increases from your phone every six months with issuers that use soft inquiries (no hit to your score).
- Raise capital — the full funding menu (lines of credit, SBA, equipment, invoice financing), plus angels, crowdfunding, and grants — and how to pitch and present so funders say yes.
- Avoid the traps — the mistakes that kill funding, and the truth about shelf corporations and "guaranteed approval" programs.
It closes with a 90-day roadmap that puts every step in order, plus a one-page cheat sheet.
Everything in this book is legal and truthful. No shelf-corporation age plays, no fabricated tradelines, no coaching to stretch the numbers on an application. Just the real system — which is faster than it looks, compounds over time, and can never be taken away from you.
Build the asset before you need it. Start today.
Educational content only — not legal, tax, or financial advice. No specific funding outcome is guaranteed.
