Full-Stack Development with Python & React: Build Dynamic Web Apps with Django, FastAPI, and Modern Front-End Frameworks is your comprehensive guide to creating dynamic, full-stack web applications using Python, React, and modern frameworks. This book takes you through the entire process of building full-featured, scalable web apps by seamlessly integrating Django and FastAPI for the back-end, and React for the front-end.
Whether you're a backend developer eager to dive into the world of front-end development or a front-end developer looking to enhance your full-stack capabilities, this book will equip you with the skills to build interactive, real-time, and data-driven web applications. By the end, you'll be confident in creating high-performance, secure, and scalable full-stack applications that meet modern business needs.
What You’ll Learn:
- Setting Up Full-Stack Projects: Learn how to set up a full-stack web application with Python, React, and Django/FastAPI, including virtual environments, package management, and folder structure for optimal project organization.
- Building Back-End with Django: Master Django, the powerful Python framework, for creating secure, scalable, and feature-rich back-end services. Learn to use Django Rest Framework (DRF) for building RESTful APIs that connect seamlessly with your React front-end.
- FastAPI for High-Performance APIs: Discover how to use FastAPI to build fast, asynchronous APIs with Python that deliver real-time data and perform exceptionally well with minimal latency, making them ideal for modern web applications.
- React for Dynamic Front-End Development: Dive into React to build interactive, data-driven user interfaces. Learn about state management with React Hooks, and how to efficiently manage application state and lifecycle events.
- API Integration Between Django/FastAPI and React: Learn how to integrate Django or FastAPI back-end with your React front-end, focusing on making HTTP requests, handling JSON responses, and ensuring smooth data flow between your back-end and front-end.
- Authentication and Authorization: Implement user authentication and authorization with JWT and OAuth2, using Django and FastAPI for secure login systems, role-based access control, and encrypted data transfer.
- Real-Time Features with WebSockets: Implement real-time features in your application, such as live chat, notifications, and live updates, using WebSockets for efficient communication between the back-end and front-end.
- Testing Full-Stack Applications: Learn how to write unit and integration tests for both Django/FastAPI back-end and React front-end using tools like Jest, pytest, and React Testing Library.
- Optimizing Performance: Discover techniques for optimizing performance on both the front-end and back-end, including lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and query optimization to deliver fast, responsive applications.
By the end of this book, you'll be able to develop complete full-stack applications with Python and React, integrating Django or FastAPI back-end with React front-end to create dynamic, secure, and scalable web apps.
