About the Authors Jennifer Eveland (Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore) was a child when she and her family first moved to Singapore, and after returning to the United States, she was drawn again and again to the magic of Singapore, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. She is the author of Frommer's Singapore & Malaysia and Frommer's Thailand, 4 th Edition (available February 2000), and currently lives in Bangkok, Thailand. Michelle Fama (The Philippines) lived and traveled throughout East Africa, Egypt, and South America before coming aboard as the author of the Philippines chapter in this guide. She has been a producer at abcnews.com in New York and is currently a writer/producer for gorp.com, one of the leading outdoor recreation/adventure travel sites on the Web. Mary Herczog (Bali and Lombok) lives in Los Angeles and works in the film industry when she isn't traveling and writing for Frommer's.
