Single issue publication with stitched binding, part of it still intact. Pages tanned and foxed with some soiling/staining. Holes in left margin, heavy wear to corners, some edge wear. Weekly Quaker publication begun in 1847. Later merged with Christian Worker to form American Friend. Contents: Account of Abigail Knott of Rathangan, Ireland, who died June 26, 1846. Extracts fom the speech of Elihu Burritt (on international peace). Slavery on the high seas. New York yearly Meeting of women Friends. Extracts from Carpenter on alcoholic drinks. Numerous reprints of news from various sources, with discussion of slavery in some. 10" tall; 16 pages.
