Friday Night Forever
By Joseph Colosimo
Some friendships are built to last. Others are tested long after the final whistle.
Ten years ago, five best friends stood shoulder to shoulder under the Friday night lights of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Joey Colosimo, RJ Dami, Michael Kessler, Keyshawn Ray, and Cam Cashdollar weren’t the stars scoring touchdowns or making headlines. They were the offensive line of the Canon-McMillan Big Macs, five brothers in the trenches who believed nothing could ever tear them apart.
Their unforgettable senior season ended in heartbreak when a controversial holding penalty cost them their shot at a championship. The final whistle blew, the stadium emptied, and life moved on.
But for some of them, moving on wasn’t so easy.
A decade later, the five friends are approaching thirty, each fighting battles far different from anything they faced on a football field. Joey struggles with anxiety, heartbreak, and the challenges of fatherhood. RJ is preparing for marriage, Michael has found his calling in coaching, Keyshawn is searching for direction, and Cam appears to have everything money can buy.
When their legendary former coach faces being pushed out of the program he spent his life building, he calls upon the five men who once fought for him every Friday night.
What begins as one last chance to save their old football program becomes an unexpected journey through friendship, fatherhood, love, betrayal, and the painful realization that growing older doesn’t always mean growing up.
As old memories resurface and long-buried secrets threaten to change everything, the five friends must discover whether the brotherhood they built as teenagers can survive the realities of adulthood.
Because football was never just about winning games.
It was about the people standing beside you when everything was on the line.
The lights eventually go out. The games always end. But some brotherhoods are Friday Night Forever.
