About the Author: Born in 1946, Luciano Mecacci is Professor of Psychology at Florence University, and author of several works in the fields of psychophysiology and the history of psychology (his particular specialism is the history of Russian psychology, and he has worked at the Moscow Institute of Psychology). His books have been translated into German, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and English.
