This is a Near Fine Copy of this Book in Publisher's original richly decorated brown cloth boards with lavish and bright gilt designs to the front cover and spine.Chocolate brown endpapers,no cracking to hinge joins.Lovely tight firm copy with one former owner's neat inscription to the head of the title page and dated Dec 1878.Contents feature Hill Countries of Eastern France,Up the Loire by Rail,South West France and the Pyrennes,Normandy and Brittany,Alps of Dauphine,Auvergne and some of the Ancient Cities and Their Memories,Paris to Lyon and Some further Notes on Paris.Two tape repairs to the edge of pages 115/116.All page edges are in gilt,lovely clean copy internally and with tissue guarded frontispiece of le Pic Du Midi in the Pyrenees.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness.Great copy for the collector,undated but Circa 1878.given the owner's inscription and date,4to 212pp. Seller Inventory # 83322
