As AI systems grow more manipulative and powerful under the tutelage of today’s tech behemoths, this book unveils a revolutionary way to harness AI as a defender of freedom, autonomy, and democracy, thereby ushering in a bold new era of AI guardrails and true AI safety.
For too long, we’ve lived under the influence of data exploitation, algorithmic manipulation, surveillance capitalism, and digital deception—systems that quietly shape what we see, buy, believe, and even become. But AI doesn’t have to be this way. When designed with human values at its core, AI can serve as our shield, enforcing digital guardrails that protect freedom, autonomy, and safety in the age of intelligent machines.
In Freedom from Algorithmic Manipulation and Control with AI: How AI Can Help You Reclaim Your Freedom and Safety in an Age of Surveillance Capitalism and Deception, Subhra Jyoti Das—digital entrepreneur, former telecom CEO, and Harvard Business School alumnus—introduces a breakthrough framework and trust infrastructure for using AI as a system of protection and accountability: a layer of intelligent guardrails designed to preserve human agency, enforce rights, and keep digital power aligned with human values.
Through a groundbreaking framework called Multi-Sided Intelligence led by Personal AI Agents, Subhra presents a democratic AI model with AI guardrails that operate at machine speed, thus ensuring technology serves people, not the other way around. The book lays out a comprehensive blueprint for aligning AI with human values and societal well-being:
-
AI-enforceable consumer rights to defend individuals automatically.
-
AI-driven business compliance through a Responsible AI code of conduct.
-
Real-time oversight mechanisms to hold digital platforms accountable.
-
A re-engineered AI Trust architecture and infrastructure that evolves with human ethics instead of against them.
Part exposé, part manifesto, and part blueprint for action, Freedom from Algorithmic Manipulation and Control with AI shows that the only way to make AI safe is to build AI that keeps us safe.
If we can’t contain today’s manipulative systems, what hope will we have in the age of superintelligence?
The time to build our guardrails and reclaim our freedom is now.
