Paperback. FreeCAD has become one of the most powerful free alternatives to expensive commercial CAD software, but its depth can overwhelm beginners who don't know where to start. FreeCAD 1.1 User Guide solves that problem with a clear, structured approach to mastering 3D design, parametric modeling, and technical drafting using the latest FreeCAD 1.1 release. This guide is illustrated with images and built for real learning, not just reference. It begins with FreeCAD installation and workspace navigation, then moves step by step into sketching, part design, and parametric modeling, the foundation of any serious CAD workflow. From there, readers learn how to build assemblies, apply constraints, generate technical drawings, and prepare models for 3D printing or manufacturing. Each section includes practical exercises designed to build real skill, not just familiarity with menus and buttons.Topics covered include the Sketcher workbench and geometric constraints, Part Design and solid modeling, the Assembly workbench for multi-part projects, technical drafting and 2D drawing generation, mesh and surface modeling basics, and export workflows for 3D printing and CNC applications. The guide also addresses common beginner mistakes and troubleshooting tips that typically only come from hands-on experience.Whether you are a student learning CAD fundamentals, a maker designing parts for a 3D printer, an engineer transitioning from SolidWorks or AutoCAD, or a hobbyist building your first mechanical project, this guide gives you a practical, no-fluff path to competence in FreeCAD 1.1.
