A very scarce collection of Christmas poems by Frank Bedwell, bound in a lovely imitation morocco binding and signed by two of his sons. Whilst little is known about the author, this volume is charming example of late eighteenth and early nineteenth century festive poetry. A very scarce work, with only one copy held at Oxford University- Copac. This work was printed for private circulation by his children (Francis, Thomas, and Eric) in memory of their father. With an ink inscription, signed by two of Frank Bedwell's sons: 'Kate Tetley From Francis and Tommy Bedwell. 1985'. In a full imitation morocco cloth binding, with gilt title to front board. Externally lovely, with only very minor shelfwear to extremities. Ink inscription to front free-endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned to extremities but very bright and clean throughout. Near Fine.
