240 pp. of text, 58 fold-out maps illustrating the weather over the North American continent during the period under investigation, 12 huge fold-out charts with weather data - rain and comparative fluctuations of the barometer from measurements all over the country from about 1849-1856. Maps are in excellent condition for age, some have very small tears at edges. Some pages foxed, front hinge split, but still attached, boards rather soiled. Contents still tight. This book is remarkable for the depth of its detail and the beauty and condition of its maps and charts.
