Item description from seller

First commercial edition (OCLC notes a single location for a "photocopy from holograph" bearing Henmar Press imprint, dated 1958 - possibly a performance copy). Quarto; pictorial staple-bound card wrappers; 63pp. Clean and bright in the original wrappers; Near Fine. First commercial printing of this suite, originally composed in 1954. The cover illustration is by Joe Brainard; includes a one-page note on performance by Rorem, written specifically for this edition. A little-known New York School collaboration, surprisingly elusive in commerce.
