Paperback. In today's modern world, an individual's Christian beliefs tend to be regarded as his or her own private affair, yet for most of the history of the Christian church, these beliefs had to centre upon the creeds - creeds which embodied orthodoxy and had to be accepted publicly by all those who wished to call themselves Christians. Even Reformers set out their own creeds in which to establish a new orthodoxy for their followers to accept and acknowledge. While there are many books about individual creeds, there is no single volume which examines the important Christian creeds as a whole. This is an expert, international team of scholars seek to do: to discover the purpose and significance of the creeds at the time they were written and their usefulness today. 152 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
