Print on Demand. This book presents a detailed analysis of six caryatids discovered in the ruins of the Treasury of the Cnidians at Delphi, Greece. First unearthed in the 1890s and attributed to the mid-6th century B.C.E., the caryatids are among the most unusual and intriguing examples of early Greek sculpture. Through careful examination of the caryatids' construction, drapery, and facial features, this book offers insights into the aesthetic and cultural values of the period while exploring the ways in which these sculptures reflect the religious and political landscape of ancient Greece. The book is a valuable resource for scholars and enthusiasts of Greek art and history, providing a comprehensive overview of these enigmatic and beautiful works. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
