Only the gifts they were born with.On a fateful Christmas Eve, two infants are launched into the skies from the baby factory in the Great White North, each marked with a single letter and a prayer for a good life. Instead of arriving safely at their intended homes, these children become lost souls, cast into a strange and unknowing world alongside two others who share similar fate. From the harsh streets of Grouch County to the enchanted shores of Mystic Island, from the wilds of Quiriland to the legendary realms of Oz and beyond, four orphans must navigate a landscape filled with magic, danger, and mystery. Some of them have little to no family to nurture them and no safety net to catch them, they have only their wits, their courage, and mysterious gifts they are only beginning to understand. The others have landed in situations where they have been nurtured but either did not accept the nurturing or have a longing to find where they should have been. As their paths slowly converge, each must answer the same impossible question: where is your home?Fortunes of the Lost is a sweeping fantasy adventure about resilience, belonging, and perseverance.
