Description: Dust jacket design by Judith Kazdym Leeds; author photograph by Bruce Knight. A novel of King Henry V. This was the author's first novel; her first career was acting, appearing with such stars as the Lunts and Helen Hayes. Her familiarity with Shakespearean roles, in particular the Chronicle plays, led her to the writing of this novel. Although she was born in Louisville, Kentucky, her background was Welsh, and the legend and history of Wales which appear in this book were learned first at her grandfather's knee. BINDNG/CONDITION: light olive cloth with gilt spine text; the top edge tint is turquoise (a somewhat lighter shade than the endpapers); a Near Fine book, with a Near Fine dust jacket. Turquoise endpapers. 8vo (about 8.5 inches tall). 445 pages.
