Unclipped pictorial dustjacket features cover photo of men on donkeys in the desert, with black and red lettering. Dustjacket is missing a 1 1/2" section at bottom of spine and has some edgewear - it is now protected by a mylar jacket. Pencilled date and initials inside front cover. Heavy spotting to edges of textblock. The author (elder brother of author Ian Fleming, creator of "James Bond") travelled from Moscow to Peking in the mid-30's while researching a different book.
