The last thing Rayleigh expects after her sister's death is finding out she's a powerful Fae, hidden in the human world, and is being hunted by dangerous creatures who have magic of their own.
Rayleigh has to navigate developing feelings for her childhood best friend, Kaleb—who asks her to prom—and getting an arrogant new lab partner, Kyler—who's annoyingly handsome—all while strange events start happening around her.
After the unthinkable happens on a trip to the mall, she gets a phone call informing her that her family has been struck by a tragedy—again.
Her life goes from worrying about school grades and finding a dress for prom to trying to escape deadly creatures who can stop time and manipulate the world around her.
She ends up submerged in a world of magic and danger she never knew existed, discovering she has powers of her own and is from an entirely different realm.
New friends emerge, and enemies reveal themselves. Can Rayleigh manage to merge her old life with her new one without losing anyone else she loves?
