"Jesus said to him, 'I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.'" (Matthew 18:22, NASB)
A practical, Scripture-based forgiveness training manual for Christians who want to understand and practice biblical forgiveness.
70×7: The Forgiveness Training Manual is a structured Christian forgiveness study built on Jesus' teaching in Matthew 18:21–22, where He calls His followers to forgive "seventy times seven." Developed over fifteen years of ministry and teaching, this manual provides a clear, repeatable framework for applying biblical forgiveness in everyday life.
Many believers understand that God commands forgiveness, but few have received practical instruction on how to carry it out. Whether the hurt comes from betrayal, family conflict, a broken relationship, or offenses that keep happening, unforgiveness and bitterness can take root when the "how" was never taught. This book fills that gap. Across sixteen chapters, readers learn what the Bible teaches about forgiveness, how to forgive others for past and ongoing offenses, and how to distinguish forgiveness from trust and reconciliation.
All Scripture references are taken from the New American Standard Bible (NASB), and the teaching remains grounded in God's Word rather than secular or therapeutic models.
Why This Manual Is Different
Most books on forgiveness explain why we should forgive. This manual is built to train believers in how. Each chapter works as a standalone training session, so it can be read straight through, studied one lesson at a time, or taught in a class or small group setting. The framework is designed to be used again and again, because Jesus did not call His followers to forgive once, but seventy times seven.
Readers will learn:
- The biblical definition of forgiveness and common misconceptions about it
- How to forgive someone who hurt you, even when the wound runs deep
- How to forgive repeated, long-standing, and deeply personal offenses
- How to forgive family members, spouses, friends, coworkers, and church members
- The difference between forgiveness, trust, and reconciliation
- What to do when the same offense happens again
- How unforgiveness affects your walk with God, your prayers, and your relationships
- A step-by-step framework for practicing forgiveness as an ongoing discipline
- How to teach and lead others through biblical forgiveness
This Book Is for You If:
- You have tried to forgive, but the offense still has a hold on you
- You were told to "just forgive" but never shown how
- You want to obey God's command to forgive but don't know where to start
- You lead others and need a clear, biblical tool to help them forgive
Ideal for:
Personal Bible study, small group curriculum, church discipleship programs, Sunday school classes, Christian coaching, women's and men's ministries, care ministries, and pastoral or lay counseling settings.
For Leaders and Churches
Pastors, ministry leaders, and Christian coaches will find a ready-to-teach structure with sixteen focused lessons that can be adapted for weekly classes, retreats, workshops, or one-on-one discipleship. A companion workbook and virtual training course are available for readers and leaders who want guided application.
