Six months ago, Nora Voss helped write the law meant to end companies like Mnemosynē forever.
Now a young man's hundred-and-forty-dollar curiosity has exposed the exact gap she built into it — a gap a hedge fund has spent two years quietly turning into a business.
Priya Vantaggio has never broken a single law. Her company doesn't erase memories. It sells them — curated, incomplete, engineered to keep desperate people paying for a truth they'll never quite reach.
As Nora closes in on what Vantaggio is really selling, the danger stops being professional. Someone is watching her apartment. Someone breaks into the home of the man she loves. And the people helping her — a sergeant risking her badge, a whistleblower who vanishes overnight — start paying a price Nora never meant to ask them to pay.
Nora built the system to catch the next Elliot Crane. She never imagined the next threat would be smarter, colder, and completely untouchable by the very law she wrote.
Some doors don't stay closed. Some people just get better at finding the windows.
A propulsive, twist-filled thriller for readers who love a fierce female investigator up against an opponent who never has to break a single rule to win.
