Size: Octavo (standard book size). . Previous owner's book-plate laid in on front paste down. Brown gilt-stamped leather spine and corners with marbled paper over boards, frontispiece image "The Woburn Beech," showing a tall tree and two people, (xxiii), 248 pages, (vii), Index, illustrated with 8 plates, some of which fold out. Both boards detached, corners bumped, back cover torn on bottom edge, edges worn, edges of spine chipped, edges of text block soiled, title page offset by frontispiece, pages facing plates offset by the images, small random stains throughout. Spine title: Pontey's Forest Pruner.
