Everything about young Samantha's life, since the devastation of Earth seems to be forbidden.
After the colonisation of Earth, Samantha ignores her family's objections, and takes on a role of service for Prince Shihlo, a widower from Throm. While she knows the alien leader played a part in Earth's annihilation, she cannot deny the magnetic pull he exudes. Within his royal circle, Sam becomes his treasured friend, as she witnesses the rise and fall of treaties, the breaking of alliances, and the ongoing clashes with his headstrong and empathy-devoid brothers.
Sam yearns to transcend the boundaries of friendship, wishing that Shihlo would see her as more than a trusted confidant and nanny to his children. But on Throm, inter-species love is strictly prohibited, and would never be entertained between a human from a colony and a Prince from the mightiest planet in the federation.
With desire and love denied, it is at a Federation Council meeting of the aligned planets that she meets Síocháin - the young and ethereal head of the Federation. Drawn to his equally enigmatic presence, Samantha finds solace and respite from her yearning for Prince Shihlo. Together, they navigate the intricate politics of the council, forging a connection as they embark on exhilarating adventures filled with prohibited magic and secrets that could shape the fate of their worlds.
As she matures, her encounters become more perilous, entangled in the escalating wars of the federation and the return of magic to their solar system.
Unbeknown to Sam and her two protectors, her innocent exploration of prohibited magic has caught the attention of a malevolent hidden being - the Father of all Magic - with sinister designs for her newfound universe.
Now, Samantha finds herself at the center of a nefarious plan, manipulated as a pawn to restore this malevolent being to power. Caught in a web of peril and intrigue, she realizes that choosing between the two males who have ensnared her heart, is no longer the central focus of her life.
Join Samantha on a breathtaking journey where alliances shift, passions ignite, and the fate of all worlds hang in the balance. This enthralling tale weaves together forbidden love, otherworldly magic, and interstellar conflicts, leaving you yearning for the next chapter in her extraordinary adventure.
Forbidden is Book Two in the ADRSTA Chronicles series - but can be read as a stand-alone. It is not a reverse harem, but an aching love triangle with a HEA for the main characters.
Interstellar conflict, Alien encounters, Heroic journeys, and the Exploration of New Worlds intertwined with Romance.
